~ HARRY ARCH ~
I'd like to thank HARRY ARCH & family of PAVENHAM, Bedford, UK for their diligent work collecting ARCH family history.
HARRY, a bridge engineer, by profession, travelled extensively throughout the world, with his bridge erection work, told me in a telephone call, he always looked for ARCH history wherever he went, telephone books, etc. Harry said.
So I feel honoured to say these words and most especially, to have talked with him from Canada for those few minutes about two weeks before he passed on, as I was to learn later.
Sometimes we are very fortunate .
He had a lovely, calm voice
and enjoyed talking to meAnother ARCH of renown was HARRY passed on in June 1999
I was fortunate
to have telephoned
and actually talk to him
shortly before he passed

She was born Hannah PACE, The Hannah Story
the daughter of Joseph and Mary PACE (nee LAMPIT). Joseph worked as a hedger and ditcher for the Warwicks and lived in an estate cottage. With the money they saved they bought the cottage in Barford. When Hannah grew up, she worked as a lady's maid at the CASTLE and was a favourite of the COUNTESS. She married JOHN SHARRARD but he died in 1816 and HANNAH SHARRARD then married JOHN ARCH in 1818. They had four childrenI suspect that JOSEPH PACE was the craftsman who taught JOSEPH ARCH his hedging and ditching skills, and it was Hannah's friendship with the countess that expanded to cover Joseph and his political activities.
