JOHN MASON b: 26 Dec 1813 Litchfield JOHN MASON b: 26 Dec 1813 Litchfield 1 JOHN MASON b: 26 Dec 1813 Litchfield + SUSANNAH HOUGHTON b: 1816 for photo of JOHN MASON and NOT SUZANNAH but John's 2nd wife run mouse over this line JOHN & SUZANNAH MASON nee HOUGHTON JOHN MASON b: 26 Dec 1813 Litchfield SUSANNAH HOUGHTON b: 1816, England I have been informed by a descendant in the USA - a third cousin of mine - the photo appearing here - shows ELLEN PIPER PARDOE MASON said to be second wife of JOHN MASON the descendant's communication also gives pertinent family history about - this MASON family coming to the USA from ENGLAND - so I will add that here John and his second wife, Ellen, came to Philadelphia in 1882, reason unknown.  He may have traveled for a visit or work.  My grandfather, JAMES MASON, said "they came to show them" how weaving carpets was done in England.  I thought he was referring to his father, GEORGE MASON, but he may have meant his grandfather, JOHN. GEORGE MASON immigrated two years later in 1884 and his four girls and LOUISA the following year.
